Our Mission

ALARM exists to empower the African Church to impact the African continent by developing and equipping leaders with skills and tools to nurture and deepen the Christian faith for the transformation of the African communities.

Our Vision

The Mission of ALARM is train, equip, and develop a strong pastoral leadership for the proclamation of the good news of Jesus Christ and for the promotion of Biblical Christianity on a continent faced with lack of biblical teaching, syncretism, nominalism, islamization, tribal/ethnic wars, violence of human rights, social injustice, poverty, HIV/AIDS, and persecution. ALARM seeks to serve the church in Africa by providing evangelical theological and biblical teaching to pastors and leaders as to encourage better teaching and preaching of biblical truths for spiritual formation and social transformation of the African people.

Our Goal

The goal is to strengthen and empower the African church by equipping the untrained leadership with basic pastoral skill and ministerial tools. Our passion is to enable the African leaders to develop bible based churches that are spiritually vibrant and whose message is culturally relevant, ministering to the whole person and bringing hope and healing to the hurting communities. The aim of leadership development is to enable church leaders and pastors to be like Christ, to think like Christ, to lead and serve like Christ.

Our Conviction

The conviction of ALARM is that without a strong pastoral leadership, the African church will remain infant, tossed between different challenges, without spiritual growth and with less impact in the communities in which they have been called to serve as light, salt, and agents of peace, reconciliation, and transformation. Our leadership training centers provide the untrained pastors and leaders an opportunity to gain a working knowledge on major issues facing the church and at the same time providing basic pastoral and ministerial skills for deepening and nourishing the faith of Christians in the 21st-century Africa. Our Strategy Through training events such as seminars, workshops, conferences, and consultations, leaders from different churches and denominations are brought together for intensive training in biblical and theological issues, pastoral and ministerial skills, Christian education issues; African contemporary issues, and in mediation, conflict resolution and reconciliation ministries. Our Africa Leadership Training Centre will provide regular training in different fields of studies and serve as a research center for issues affecting and challenging the African church and its leadership. Our Partners Individual churches, ministries, mission organizations, and families have been and will continue to play a major role in the ministry of ALARM. In addition to the development of a strong African team of Trainers, ALARM will continue to build and develop partnership with qualified and experienced men and women from other parts of the world to be involved in training and equipping the Africa leaders for the new millennium.
